Guardian Problems.
So I play as a solo Elf guardian in lotro, and I notice that I burn through my power way to fast. Like befor the fight is over, most if not all my power is gone. So i'm wondering if i'm doing a wrong rotation, or maybe there is a skill that i'm not using and I should be, or something completely different. Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you

AND ACTUALLY AGRO AND STOP LETTING YOUR HEALER DIE

Check out some up to date youtube guides on Guardians, they synergize best with healers alongside them. Otherwise, consider saving your abilities for when you need them if you anticipate a long fight. Or bring some draughts for backup healing and power regen

Concentrate on gear that increases your power pool (sorry, don't know which stat it is), slot virtues that do that as well.
Don't be afraid to quaff a potion every now and then.
There should be some traits that replenish (some) power; check your build.

Or get a Lore Master close to you, (s)he can restore power pretty cheaply.

Guardian's Ward skill reduce power cost of other skills. Use it from time to time to maintain this reduction.

Are you keeping up with weapons so they're close to your current level (or the level of what you're fighting, at least)? Also, using a two-handed weapon and traiting red line helps kill things faster. With decent weapons, other gear that is at least somewhat up to date, and red line traited, you should be killing stuff fast enough to not worry about power.

Aye I am keeping up with weapon lvl. I have a lvl 45 sword while im at lvl 46 myself. Pretty much all my gear is the same lvl as me there are a few pieces that are a few lvl below me but nothing to major. I never did two handed weapons because i thought the shield was a key part of the guardian. So are you saying that maybe i should go two handed? or did i miss something that you said?

Guardians will not have survivability issues while solo'ing no matter what you're using. The two-handed weapon will give you better dps, so your fights will not last as long. "Sword and board" is designed more for tanking, where you need to survive and soak up all the damage for as long as possible.

Okay i see what your saying. Because I don't seem to be killing stuff fast enough, get a two handed weapon to get that extra edge in dps. Might help me take stuff out in fights faster. Or am i still missing what you're trying to tell me?

Nope, you've got it. Keep in mind that at your level, Guardians won't necessarily kill things quickly no matter what. They're not champs/hunters/etc, hehe. They tank a lot better than they dps. But I do think a good two handed weapon will help you.

Edit - Oh, and make sure you're traits are in the Red line, whatever it's called. That's your dps line, which is what you want for solo.

If you have Mines of Moria, start the intro quest. This will give you your first Legendary Item, which will be way better than any other weapon you find at that level.
The intro is L50, so you can start it from L45. It shouldn't be too hard for a guardian, unlike the squishy classes, where you might want to wait a few levels

At lvl 40, I really saw a change on DPS using red trait line + 2H Weapon. This was before the new skill tree.

You lose the shield bashes/stuns though with a 2H. (And some class deeds)

I haven't run into problems with my red line sword & board guardian yet (L43).
It's slow going because killing stuff is slow compared to about all other classes, but other than that he's doing fine.

If you have a Farmer and Cook then you can make your own food and eat them like candy. Also, there are a few skills that will use up your Power quickly; Sweeping Cut, Vexing Blow, Ignore the Pain, Shield-blow and Force Opening. Many Guardians get lazy and rely on Ignore the Pain to remove Wounds, Poisons, Disease and Fears but this is a very Power costly skill to use.
