Don't be afraid to quaff a potion every now and then.
There should be some traits that replenish (some) power; check your build.
Or get a Lore Master close to you, (s)he can restore power pretty cheaply.
Aye I am keeping up with weapon lvl. I have a lvl 45 sword while im at lvl 46 myself. Pretty much all my gear is the same lvl as me there are a few pieces that are a few lvl below me but nothing to major. I never did two handed weapons because i thought the shield was a key part of the guardian. So are you saying that maybe i should go two handed? or did i miss something that you said?
Edit - Oh, and make sure you're traits are in the Red line, whatever it's called. That's your dps line, which is what you want for solo.
The intro is L50, so you can start it from L45. It shouldn't be too hard for a guardian, unlike the squishy classes, where you might want to wait a few levels
You lose the shield bashes/stuns though with a 2H. (And some class deeds)
I haven't run into problems with my red line sword & board guardian yet (L43).
It's slow going because killing stuff is slow compared to about all other classes, but other than that he's doing fine.
