Controller profile added!

I uploaded my personal Steam controller profile which is almost an exact copy of how I had my old Logitech set up. I have major wrist issues, so this thing was a godsend for me.

Through years of trial and error from this and other mmo's, I feel I have everything covered, though I might make some small sensitivity tweaks here and there as I get used to the way the Steam controller feels. Everyone is more than welcome to try it out for themselves and alter to taste. :-)

Three entire rows of character abilities (12 per row) are bound to the ABXY buttons via a single mode shift button, alt button, and ctrl button. Also included is customized targetting for monsters, npc's, and objects, and a comfortably located "interact" button for said targets. Toggle windows include main menu, map, inventory, and character sheet.

One final note: If you're like me and don't like that pesky mouse cursor hanging around as you move the camera, simply play the game in "normal" Steam mode rather than Big Picture mode once you have the profile selected. I don't know why, but Big Picture mode doesn't allow the mouse pointer to disapear when holding the button down. Switching back to normal mode solves this.


Change Log:

12/07/2015 - Raised sensitivity and filter settings. Camera movement while holding right trigger is much smoother now.

12/09/2015 - Zoom function added to left and right tilt while holding mode shift button.

12/27/2015 - Mouse wheel re-located to left stick up and down while holding mode shift button. Left and right tilt has been removed. This allows players to finally scroll through the windows, as well as zoom the camera comfortably, without accidentally zooming the camera while fighting. This is the only function that uses the trackpad click as a mode shift. The mode shift for all other functions is still the left bumper. Trackpad clicking will still interact with targets just fine however, so keep this in mind if you have something targeted.

It's a profile for the Steam controller. You have to enable big picture mode, and select it from the available community profiles.

Sure thing. Let me know how you like it! There are currently two other profiles that have been uploaded by others, but I'm confident mine offers the most functionality and is very comfortable to use.

If I make any additional tweaks, I'll post them here.

Hi all. Just thought I'd give this thread a quick bump, since it seems all the community profiles got wiped in the last Steam update. As it stands now, it looks like mine is the only one up there at the moment.

I'm not sure what's going on with profile uploads. For some reason, the changes don't seem to get published more than half the time, and are only saved privately. I'll keep trying though, so make sure the profile title includes the tag "Updated 12/27/2015".
