I love the lord of the rings but this game is so incredibly boring, you literaly just point and click, there isnt any fun or strategy with parties like in other mmo s just point and click. The quests are not fun, if you really want a decent mmo go shell out some money for warcraft or aion or something

As someone who has logged over 1800 hours in LotRO, this game was far better in years past, before the last expansion, and back when the dev team cared about the game.

The game client is an unoptimized mess, hasn't been significantly updated in years, and gets shown up by other MMOs, like FFXIV, and basically every other F2P MMO out there because all Turbine cares about is milking you for the next cosmetic thing you will buy from the store.

The game client is such a mess that Gondor was unplayable for me because I kept crashing on a gaming machine that runs FFXIV, and every other game in my library flawlessly.

Those telling you this is a good game remember it as it was years ago. This game is a trainwreck now, and best avoided.

Me dad used to play it a lot (bored me too) then it eventually started to die because of some lousy decisions (2012ish the game went free to play)

I happen to love LotrO... WoW looks toony to me after playing on this for quite a while.
The graphics are great, especially for a FTP game. I happen to love the quests, and I also love to craft. I get that some people have their own opinions, but when you've only played for .1 hours, do you really have any knowledge to base your opinion on? X3

Eh, it's not that good for a FTP game, as most have kept up their graphics (go play STO for a bit, and you'll understand). Crafting is the same BS in all the other MMOs because the interedepencies got lobotomized through prior updates - as pipeweed crossbreeding was one of those things that used to be cool, but then got dumbed down to an RNG trial fest off of arbitrary seeds. Farming itself used to have seeds for all of the crops.

Most of the questing from West Rohan forward has been largely forgettable.

LotRO isn't what it once was.

While I can't speak for the rest of the posters, please goto my library and check my time played for LotRO if you really doubt that I have logged over a thousand hours on the game.

Unlike most MMOs this one is actually about enjoying the lore and being immersed in the world. The community is awesome and not just players running around maximizing their moneymaking effeciency, the RP servers are wonderful and full of helpful people.

ADHD much OP? This is a great and very deep game. My only issue is with Turbine is the lack of support and some of the GM's will actually ban you for being aggresive about reporting a true problem. There are problems like the sporatic background music problem in Rivendell, Trollshaws that are broken and never fixed. You can't really lose for playing the game for free, but for those of us that sink any money into it, we feel sorta cheated when Turbine just pockets the cash and does not fix the game.

Sure. With a private profile you can of course claim anything.
(And when you open up your profile you can claim you play LotRO outside of Steam, so it doesn't add up to the hours here).

I know you've been on this forum for years, and I know you've been complaining about LotRO for years.

Isn't it time for you to move on to something you do like, instead of playing grumpy old bugger? (Or is complaining somehting you like?)
