Angmar & Mordor, the latest 2 Legendary Servers, do offer a few different things such as 64-bit Servers (a first for LOTRO and noticeably better performance) and the "Veil of the Nine Event" where Lesser Wraiths spawn in Landscape & at times the Nazgul will also appear for players to fight them.
Which for X amount of people Angmar & Mordor for the "better Performance & fighting Wraiths" is worth it.
Granted not without issues. Fighting the Nazgul for example has had "too many Players showing up" and causing various issues with the fights.
ah thats a shame, was really hoping i could return and experience the game again like when it came out :D but thank you very much for taking your time to tell me
Oof, with no quest guidance? Was acceptable back in the day because we didn't know any better but not anymore. Questie is one of the most popular WoW Classic addons for a reason and LOTRO doesn't have the addon capabilities that WoW does.
I would be interested in trying out all the class balance and landscape difficulty of the vanilla version though.
Morrowind/classic MMO style ftw. Forcing you to read the quest and not just "go to colored zone and kill mob with special icon over head"
It helps massively in terms of social. It was quite amazing back in the day. Yes ofcourse if you give people easier access to things they're going to use it. But god i miss that time.
back when the game was trying to compete with vanilla wow , it was amazing, i was playing it non stop on the old internet cafes and just having a time of my life,
Sadly, so true. The landscape/overworld just isn't dangerous anymore. It barely even feels like a journey to reach level cap. Granted what lotro has going for it is it's story so it's something, but still. You don't stick around areas for that long and as you said it's all easy.
I'd say the only thing that makes it seem empty is power leveling solo with skirmishes. Otherwise, at mid twenties and mid thirties, i still see 50+ unique characters in the questing zones within an hour or so, and probably could quadruple that just standing at any primary quest giver. People are playing and having fun and being fairly social so far.
