Uninstall, insights, please

Searched this forum, searched online, not much relevant turning up RE: best uninstall

When I go to steam library, there is no 'uninstall' like other games, just 'remove from account'. There is no 'unintall.exe' in the game folder, like so many other games\programs. In control panel LOTRO.exe does not appear, nor can uninstall.

Correct me if wrong, it looks like a particularly insidious program to wipe off your HD?
Would HATE to have to D\L another app to wipe all the folders\files off.

Not here to say anything else about the game, but it <seems> to be as difficult to uninstall as it was to install. You like it fine, if not here to help on topic, don't post.

How is asking and being interested in why you don't like the game or want to uninstall it me being a troll? It was a legitimate question I was just wondering why you were uninstalling? Anyway hope you figure it out and have fun with whatever else you play

Did you install it through steam? You don't have the mouse icon so it doesn't seem so.
It shows up for me on both steam and the system panel.
But if you really want to fully uninstall something neither the control panel nor steam are the better options. You should use something like Revo uninstaller.

I tried to install from steam earlier, it would not launch, then saw recc to install directly from LOTRO website. It installed, it ran, I tried it past tutorial, but not my cuppa -- respect that, not here to troll or incite conflict, only hoping other might know resolve issue.

There are LOTRO folders\files in my C:\ user account folder, and buried in the Appdata folder (FYI Win has that hidden by default...) and in steam\common folder on second drive.

There is no uninstall option that I can find posted anywhere, and cannot find the rest of the large game install folder\files. A cringe utube vid shows to go steam\common\turbine\LOTRO or something like that, which is not anywhere. And anyways, just dragging that folder to trash is not uninstalling.

Thanks for reply, as mentioned in OP, in Control panel\uninstall\ there is no LOTRO.exe

So lack of results seems to indicate not a common thing, or not identified as such earlier, oh well.

I have this file name unins000.exe under Programfiles(x86)/standingstonegames/thelordoftheringsonline. It's the uninstaller for the game.

Also, I have the uninstall option in the steam library. Something must have been screwy on your end

There is an Exe called CleanUninstall in the LOTRO folder, try that.
