I'm in favor of a level squish to fifty, get rid of the scaling system, and just use the slider.
Two factors they don't discuss is that they would need to get Permission to do such work from all Parties involved with LOTRO. Then even if they had Approval, they'd have to stop making any New Content for what would likely be Multiple Years as they go through & adjust everything in LOTRO to a New Max Level with a Level Squish.
It's beyond their resources, it's super highly unlikely to ever get approved and it would put LOTRO into a Maintenance Mode for Years while a Level Squish was being worked on. That is an overall recipe for that it will never to occur.
I'm sure having 1000+ (alleged) people showing up to EoA ain't doing SSG any favors. That's 1000+ people with the initiative to jump ship to a classic private server! It's time for SSG to throw this P2W turd back in the sewer, and go back to Lotro's roots.
Nothing will be perfect in regards to having a classic server. To sum up a "classic server" today would involve premium gear through group content, and bringing back a player based economy where mobs yield a few coppers here and there so our professions are useful again. P2W is advancing in any way that involves real life money. Most people who utilize that disgraceful Lotro Store, are always quick to defend it.
Also a big reason why people bring it up about the LOTRO Store is: What do you "win" in the Lord of the Rings Online and how is "Pay to Win" a factor?
Isn't there some kind of valar that you can buy in the store to bring you to max level?
You're just skipping up to 90% of the game, being left with a high level class that you didn't properly learn how to use just so you can do the latest endgame area and start raiding sooner?
Valar Level Boosts are definitely not a Pay to Win Item.
Quest packs and expansion packs -> those are content, perfectly fair to be sold for real money, just like any game sells expansions.
A cheap item that blocks exp gain so that I can enjoy that content for longer.
I really don't understand the whole "p2w" argument in games like this one.
