There may be some solution to this, but I don't know what it is. Maybe someone else here knows of a different way to get a properly upscaled image.
Still can't see how to make it borderless though.
#1 go into the .ini file in your Lord of the Rings directory in Documents. Set the Fake Fullscreen option to 'False'
#2 Make sure the system is set to Fullscreen in your game options.
I have an ultra-wide 5120x1440 and I'm trying to make the game run on a borderless 2560x1440 window. Best I can get is something close to that size with the bottom slightly above the screen limit and the usual window topbar.
I've had similar issues where I originally thought my game was forcing DX9 to load.
I tried everything that the reddit community suggested to no avail.
Until I stumbled upon selecting Full Screen Windowed mode after selecting my graphics card in the launcher options.
I think the trick was making sure that the desktop display is set to the right display resolution that you want the game to display in then set the game options to display the game in full screen windowed.
Never had a display glitch since using that option.
I want a borderless window half the size of my screen.
