Nope, all that is required to play. Yeah, i am patiently watching my LOTRO launcher patch while answering this question.

I just reinstalled fresh a few weeks ago and this update looks to be redownloading the files that got downloaded by the LOTRO client the 1st time I launched it. IIRC that was somewhere in the vicinity of 5-7 GB. I guess SSG wasn't kidding that this was a significant update. I'm about to start playing my level 1 Burglar, which as a class seems to have gotten a lot of attention in this update. So I'm not complaining too loudly. ;)

If you are in the Solomon Islands, you have a looong distance for your internet signals to travel to Boston, USA. Not sure if you will have a good time playing LOTRO.
