Unlocking More Instruments?

1) Are Minstrels the only way to gain acess to more instruments?

2) Does it cost anything a Minstrel to grant acess to more instruments? Or can they do it whenever they wish and how much they please?

Minestrels can use all instruments when they reach certain lvs. They can teach other players how to use instruments as well. For example. Either lv 20 or 30(have not played a minni for 3 years...) they can learn the theboro, however it is spelled. At 50 i think it is, they can teach other classes how to use it as well.

Yes, minstrels get the abilities to mentor all instruments and different respective levels. See link for more info:

The number and type of instruments is pretty limited in LOTRO.
However, if you are interested in PLAYING music with an instrument, LOTRO has an ABC music system which is way beyond anything in 90% of the rest of the MMO world.

I can mentor any instrument you want if you play on Brandywine, or you can just ask in like Bree regional and I'm sure there is someone else who would. Teaching an instrument puts all the others on CD for like a week so...Yea.
