You have to put the mods in your Plugins folder. It should be in "My Documents" and then "The Lord of the Rings Online." It should not matter where the actual game files are.

hm, tried that
I'm sorry I can't be more helpful. It just worked right away for me and I never had problems, so I wouldn't know what to do if it doesn't automatically work.

try downloading the lotro compendium and launch that as a mod manager

C:\Users\(insert your username\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins

Thats the path you need to put your plugins into.

From there you will have to activate them in-game. To do this, go in to "manage plugins" on the character selection screen, you should have a window open with all your plugins listed. Click the one you want and there will be a bar that says "automatically load for:" select that and either set it to the character you want it on or all characters.

The best ones to use will somewhat depend on what you are doing.

Sored thanks to all, seems windows had changed my docs folder info into something else.

Apologies if anyone offended by necro, but not really. It is a helpful thread and saying thank you. Also, suspect MS onedrive is the source of your issue Oldhip, but you're probably past that now, so just for anyone else...

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
