So, if you're worried about whether or not a class is viable for endgame, don't be. 99% don't care so play what you want in terms of class fantasy, what mechanics you like and what you think is cool.
If you are a solo player though, Hunter is the top pick purely because of the all the perks they get like tracking and being able to teleport around. With clever use of their crowd control abilities they can pull off things that other classes can't, combat-wise. Beorning is a good class for solo if you just want to be able to lazily face tank a lot solo without having to fear and trap things because they have one of the strongest heals in the game that makes all solo content laughable if you use it on cooldown, even in their DPS spec.
