Game population?

I played this in 2008 for a while and then stopped. Was thinking of coming back. Are the servers / zones dead? whats the AH and economy like? is it possible to get groups for quests in lowbie zones?

Population is lower than 2008, but should get a jump again either next Wednesday when the new Brawler class is released or next month when the new expansion hits. I still see characters in random lower level places all the time. Should get some returning players for both. AH seems to be high priced and not nearly as much on it compared to when I stopped playing about 4 years ago before coming back in July. Many people have tons of alts so they farm and craft their own stuff. Gold is fairly easy to come by these days if you have a high level character, a couple hour high level play session will get you 3 or 4 gold just killing landscape mobs (the level 130 humanoid mobs drop around 100 silver each). It's possible to get groups for lowbie quests, but you really shouldn't need groups for most of the content, and you don't need groups at all for the epic quest line. And next Wednesday on you're going to have a ton of lowbie Brawlers running around, so if you want a group they'll be leveling.

Arkenstone have people LFF all the time, not only for the endgame content but for old stuff too.
