From what I have been told old codemasters accounts are no longer valid.

A few years ago (about 3 years ago...?), apparently, an email was sent out to all original codemaster account holders to switch over to the new ones. If you missed out on that the accounts are irretrievable.

You can try to get in touch with customer support about it (good luck with that!) but be prepared to chase round and round and round trying to get any answer.

I am confused. I mean I don't know the difference in or what a account from Codemasters is, but if your a Founder mate you should be able to log straight in if you have the log in information for it already. I never had to do anything special in order to keep my account. I just log it in and go. lol :steamhappy:

If your account is particularly old (back since when codemasters was the publisher) it's possible it has since been deleted when the publisher changed. There was a period during the change where you had to request for it to be transferred.

That's wild. I guess I just got lucky then because I been around since Beta and my account is from when the game launched. I didn't even know they were the publisher. lol I always thought it was Turbine for the longest because they were the original company and then I recall seeing something about them being part of Daybreak at one point and then now SSG. I would have thought it worked the same for everyone. I mean honestly if you pay for an account regardless if a new company takes over I feel like those accounts should be transferred over. You shouldn't have to go threw changes to keep your account. That's just my opinion and feelings on it though. :steamhappy:

Turbine made the game and was the one's running it in the US. They leased it out to Codemaster's to run in the EU on Codemaster based in Europe servers.

When Codemaster lost the license / shut down / ticked everyone off? Turbine sent out email's to all the customers telling them if they wished to have their accounts transferred to Turbine's US servers so they could keep playing they needed to say so. Turbine rightly wasn't going to transfer the entire data store's for players that might not care. Some did, many didn't and if you didn't speak up your data was lost / left in Europe.

There's not too many companies that will honor someone elses customers for the life of a product. For us US players, yes our accounts have automatically been carried over from Turbine to SSG.

If you look at other games; what Turbine did with Codemaster accounts isn't any different than what they did. Examples are Pirates of the Burning Sea's. Original company gave it up, new company took over and sent out emails telling people to speak up if they wanted accounts transferred. Titan Quest by THQ went out of business, Nordic bought the game and put it back out - old THQ game key's no longer work.

I'm pretty sure your account is lost. It was over 7 years ago when the transfer took place and if I remember correctly you were given a limited amount of time to transfer your Codemasters account over to Turbine.

That is what I was told, that my account was now irretrievable/lost/deleted.
