Characters are gone?
I haven't played Lotro since 2013 and i even shows my account being "Premium" with 8 character slots and 114 turbine points left. However, when i go to transfer my characters it doesn't show any characters by any of the server option and when i go to transfer it and it only gives me the option to copy my misc. housing items or whatever to the two beta or test servers. Standing Stones games hasn't replied to my ticket in over 2-3 weeks. Am i screwed outta the $120 i've spent on the game way back or am i missing something?

Just to double check, did you go on the individual servers to see if they're there?

I don't think any of my breaks were 6 years, but my characters are always there when I come back.

Customer service takes quite awhile now a days so don't give up hope yet.

Yeah i went thru every server and even clicked "Play" for all of them to double check but all of them only give me the option to create a new character.

I remember in 2015 I transferred my characters to a server, all my old ones i had back in 2008. This is just a theory, but maybe a year or two after, those who didnt transfer chars, lost them somehow?

It's possible that your characters were on a server that was closed back in 2016. However, you can still transfer your characters from that server to one of the remaining servers once the transfer button is fixed. Remember that you can only transfer your characters from your previous to any of the remaining servers in the same region, so (US to US) or (EU to EU). The transfer service is completely free for characters on closed servers. The transfer button is disabled for now due to technical issues but I believe it's going to be back on the launcher sometime next week.

Try the Transfer button ( under the Play button) when you login on the launcher. In the Character Transfer Wizard, Go through the whole list of servers, look for Closed servers. It will give the number of characters on a server.

I think abdking's on to something. I think the transfer's between servers is currently down, I haven't seen anything saying they've fixed it yet.

So it's possible you'll need to wait until it's back up and then check for your characters.

The transfer button is there and i attempted to move characters but like i said they aren't on any of the server options. Maybe it's buggy rn since they haven't posted about the transfer button like y'all said. I believe the world or server was Withywindle? Or something that started with a W.

If so, that was an old UK server run by Codemaster's I think. If it truly was you shouldn't even be showing an account, let alone character slots and Store points.

Codemasters paid for the licence to run LotRO in Europe. In 2011 Codemaster's gave up the licence and anyone that didn't transfer their account's to Turbine in the states had their accounts wiped per EU law.

If you were a Codemaster customer and you're now showing a stateside account you must have transferred your account; hence the reason you can log in.

Idfk anymore lol it says i'm a "Premium Account" with 8 slots and whatever lotro points. Prolly just gonna uninstall the game at this point if i don't receive a reply from the support within the next week or so. Not worth the grind if i can't get anything back.

With the points you have and a premium account, you do get something. You could focus on one character and enjoy the game still. I believe premium get 500 points every month?

There's 3 account types in LotRO; F2p, Premium (have spend actually money on the game) and VIP (paying a sub). VIP is the only one that get's the free monthly store points.

Premium just means he has a lot of the F2p restrictions unlocked for characters. Most likely he had a sub at some point and stopped paying like a lot of us.

SSG is pretty much a shoe string operation now, with very few people running this and their other game; DDO.

You might still hear from them sometime next month. Good thing is you can always re-install if you get good news from them down the road.

Update: Standing Stones Games did finally reply and stated that i did have Characters on the server Withywindle which was apparently European and it would cost me 2,490 Turbine points (or around that number) to get my characters transferred to a current server. Not worth it. Thank you guys for your help!

Odd, the transfer after the server merge is supposed to be free.
