Horrible support from the Standing Stone Games :steamsad:

I tried to play again, but I can't use my old turbine account or create a new one in the website. I tried to contact the support, but the whole website have no way to contact the developer / publisher, without finding ways to ask help with the technical support!

Why are you Necroing this thread with your problem when you should have start a New thread with your own problem. If you read my tips then you read the solution to your problem also and quoting something that does not apply to you.

Why should I be forced to create a new account and go through 3000 hoops just to get into an account that I had spent literally hundreds of dollars on. I understand that its a new (and apparently really awful) company that has taken over but they have made it dang near impossible for me to get back into the game. - If you insist on using that old turbine account, you have to get Standing Stones games CC to email you a product key code that you add to your old turbine account.

If you have played LOTRO in the past and have money invested in LOTRO on that old turbine account, then you need to contact SSG CC anyway to get it fixed.

At this point I have been contacted by Standing Stones CS. They are attempting to find my old account but haven't had any luck to this point. I am wondering if the account didn't get deleted. I can still find posts I made on the forums as far back as 2013 but if I cannot get my old account back (and yes I did put several hundred dollars into that account) then I will try to start a new account and go from there.

yes the password has been reset first to a simple password..then when that didn't work I went ahead and made a stronger password. In both cases I still got the message that there was no subscription. Which again I found funny since when I tried to make a new account it would not let me use that email because there was a subscription already assigned to it. I created a new email account and started a new account. It is a basic account and Standing Stone will never get any money out of me unless they get my original account back but at least I am able to play again. Thanks again for trying folks it is much appreciated

very - I used a persons first name(capitol first letter)and the year of their birth so it was Xxxxxxxx0000

I asked Cordovan directly a few years ago as to whether or not it was OK for me to use a VPN, to which he replied that it wasn't, that I could face restrictions on my account, and asked why anyone would even need to use one. This is coming from the same man who has consistently brushed off the idea of two-factor authentication (an industry standard) though we're days away from 2024; I love this game, but they are so far behind the eight ball they can't even see the table.

As of today my connections to the update server/s are still blocked while a VPN is enabled - and I value my account too much to test it in-game. I certainly wouldn't recommend using a VPN with LOTRO, even for account creation, without a concrete statement from SSG.

I should have come back here long ago to update what was going on. Let me say that as of now I have NO ISSUES with Standing Stone other than how jacked up the prices have become for everything purchasable. They bent over backwards and spent a week looking for my account before the agent asked me again for all emails that the account might possibly be under. I gave him the email that I was 200% sure could NOT be the one the account was under finally and guess what.......that was the one(I felt like an idiot)they were cordial and were so happy to have found the account for me that you would have thought they had found their own missing account. They kept in touch with me daily to update me and I have to say that I was very pleased with how hard they worked to get my account back.

There's a surprisingly active and dedicated community and the game continues to get new content and support on a regular basis.
