LOTR Nerds - Question On Pronunciation of Tirion
Does anyone here know how to pronounce "Tirion"?
I'm unsure if it is Ti-ree-on the same as from Game of Thrones character or if it is similar to Ty-ri-on.
It is located in the Imperishable Lands of the Elves, but shares no emphasis on the language tone. For more information see Tirion upon Tuna.
Any help is appreciated.

[ In Quenya, the stressing of a syllable is predictable and non-phonemic (i.e. the meaning of a word never changes depending on the stress), but it is partly determined by syllable weight. Words of two syllables are stressed on the first syllable. ***In words of three or more syllables, the stress is on the penultimate syllable if this is heavy, otherwise on the antepenultimate syllable, i.e. the third-to-last syllable.*** In Quenya, heavy syllables are syllables that contain either a long vowel, a diphthong, or a cluster of two consonants (ll, ld, mm, ss, etc.). Certain combinations of consonants, e.g. ny, ry, are also regarded as heavy ]

I wouldn't consider heavy the second (the penultimate) syllable in "Tirion" according to the above conditions, thus I'd put stress on the first one (the antepenultimate): TEE-ree-on - just like the name of a character in the Game of Thrones series.
Oh, and "i" is never pronounced as "ai" in Quenya.
