Silmarillion could be the next version of Lotro game.

If Lotro still keeps a good amount of players, Silmarillion could be an oportunity to advance in a work never explored before.
Imagine you live in other ages of middle earth, follow the storyline of how an lord elf became Sauron, make part of the biggests war of the old ages (elfs vs dark lord armys), the creation of the rings, walk around a surface much more magic, visit old races, due with old ancient creatures.

And once Its a new version, could bring the feature of new graphics, new engine, new structure of quests and tasks.

Amazon just made a big announcement of it, First announcement just said an 'unnamed company', but everyone pretty much knew it was Amazon in support of their new TV show.

For the setting it's either 'people and places never seen before' - from the original game announcement or it's a TV show tie in with the new pre-LotR show Amazon is coming up with; 'Teen angst in the Shire' or a sitcom 'Bilbo and his wacky relatives'.
