Where is the goat?

I am a returning player. I played in 2007 - 2009. I had a goat. I think it was the first mounth I had and had it for a very long time. The goat had a toolbox on the back with tools ratteling around when you road it. I am not sure if that goat had a lanterne as well (maybe it was another mount) but is it possible to get that goat again in game?

perhaps look at the lotro wiki mounts article. there are over a dozen goats now. buy, deeds, festivals. you might find one you like better than the one you remember from moria or thorins hall rep.

And that is the reason I am asking, because people who played that long ago, will remember The One :)

I am not sure, they all seem to be from 2010. The goat I am talking about, was the only one in game before Moria and we would ride around on that until rather high level, maybe level 30. The goat was slow compare to the horses and after looking at the wiki pages, it doesn't look like there is a "starter" goat anymore, they seem to be more prestige mounts now.

Ye, those were the only ones that seemed likely for the tools, but they all required higher lvl reps, couldn't be a first mount. No idea then.

prized tame redhorn goat is the one awarded for doing the quest To the Dolvenview. has a lantern and is very slow

I believe all my toons have a goat from the beginning for pre-ordering Moria expansion. I can't ride it until i get the riding trait at lvl 20, but it's there. I think..

you can buy the Riding Trait from the store as soon as you get done with the tutorial starter zone.

If it was a pre-order mount it shouldn't be obtainable anymore so, outta luck for that particular one.

Check your skills panel and click the mounts tab. Check all characters you had before you left the game the first Time. If you have it, it will be there on one of them.

Never mind, just read a later post and realised you are on new characters. Doh

so can you get it free at lvl 20? used to be something at lvl 20, but sounds like you have to buy it now, and you can buy it at anytime after intro? That's too bad if that's the case.

You can buy it anytime after the intro. VIPs get it for free at lvl 20 (but they can buy it sooner if they want), everyone else still has to buy it.
