Installing pre-reqs!!!
Okay, I know the servers are okay, I know the lotro.com is online and hasn't been hacked! But guess what?! I cannot access any of them! When I start the game it sticks at the infamous installing pre-reqs and I cannot open the pages of lotro.com. Can somebody help me? Or should I talk to Donald Trump since it seems lotro banned me from the whole internet except for Steam...

LOTRO servers are up and running, people are playing. Those that are posting in this thread that are still having problems after March 10, then start your New thread in this forum. Post your detailed description of problem, your hardware installed and OS. Take your problem out of this thread, then someone will try to help you. It is time to bury this thread.

ooook but this was a year ago and it was something unrelated to LOTRO's downtime. Game was up. It was my router being an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

All the worlds are up and running good, there was just an extended downtime from the devs for data migration. If lotro.com is down in the future, visit lotro on twitter or Facebook for any updates, so you don't uninstall or change something on your PC that doesn't need to be changed.

Dude, I know your post is 2 years old but I am having the exact same problem. The launcher is stuck and I can't access any of the lotro pages

We had the same problem since the last few days. All Websites and all of our other Games work fine. Only Lotro.com and the game itself did'nt work (it's stuck at pre-reqs). Any Ideas what could be wrong. Last week Lotro works fine for us till the last Update from the 21st November

in the launcher click on Accessing Launcher Menu then Explore Log Folder. see if any of the logs explain what is wrong. might check your firewall/antivirus - might be blocking the game launcher. game/website/forums have been up when I accessed them.

Re-install via Steam doesn't help, we tried it 2 times. Downloading from Lotro.com doesn't help, because we couldn't reach the entire Homepage. The firewall isn't the problem, i'd tested it to shut it down and start the client and tried to visit lotro.com. It doesn't work. Same with antivirus. I'd copied the Log file. I hope someone knew whats going wrong:

my log on a working/connecting game looks the same until the end gmGamePlayUI::ExitPortalSpace: game: ready, client: ready
mine differs after that.

if you are trying the 32 biit version I. would suggest the 64 bit or vice versa. but ...... you have network issues - cannot contact lotro.com

there are THREE programs that need firewall/antivirus access:

We have no network issues, we could reach every site on the web we want to visit, the only website we had problems with is lotro.com whatever since the 21st november, before that date we reached the site normally

We read this article too. TurbineLauncher.exe is now the LotroLauncher.exe. but the TurbineInvoker.exe is named how?
i couldn't find it.

the lotroclient.exe and the lotrolauncher.exe are both set in firewall/antivirus but what i miss is the invoker.exe

servers are down for patch/update. will have to check which exe's connect later.

game has been up and people have been playing. if you cant connect, network issue. possible your ISP is blocking?

while the game was patching, these showed up in the task manager
lotroclient.exe
lotroclient_awesomium.exe

once I logged in these show up
lotroclient.exe
lotrobrowserhelper.exe

turbineclientlauncher.exe turbineInvoker.exe turbinelauncher.exe
are from before SSG took over and Turbine owned game.

if you are running the 64 bit client, you would have to add lotroclient64.exe

nothing worked, till i get the tip that i should activate VPN, we activate VPN, magically we could reach the homepage and the launcher started --- till checkdatfiles (PatchClientDLL) error and endless restarting, we try to repair the files, hope than it works fine
