The Lord of the Rings Online™

Annoyed by the Inventory
So, I have a problem with my inventory and I assume everybody has this problem too. It is the fact that when I have no spaces left, when I add in an item of which I already have copies, and it would usually stack, it just says that I don't have enough space. It's happened to me with multiple characters so I assume that it is not an isolated glitch but lazy coding by the developers as they did not foresee the fact that this common (with me, anyway) problem would take place. I would like to know if (a) others have this problem and (b) what can I do about it.
Another thing is when I craft something or barter something when my inventory is full, and I do not have the item I am bartering for, but will lose the crafting components/item I am bartering with, it also says that I do not have enough space.
That's it. Rant over.

you can have 135 inventory slots.
you can have 270 vault slots.
you can have 210 housing storage spaces.
you can create alts and use them as "mules".

sounds like you are still at the 3 15 slot bags inventory limit for new chars.

270 vault slots, of which 150 are with points only.

On-topic: yes it's annoying but that's why you have the pending inventory. Or are you actually walking with all your bags full of not-vendor-junk items.

I mean. I have an inventory slot, and let's say I get one of an item from, say, a quest, and then I finish another quest and get the same item, I need to detroy an item if I am to complete the quest now. It is really annoying (BTW I am not going to buy inventory slots unless they are account wide).

Mmm, quests don't usually hand out repeated items, or are you talking about tokens for bartering reputation rewards?

It was just an example.

Also, inventory slots ARE account-wide purchases.

Oh. Good. I might get them after I get Moria.

A lot of inventory items are junk. Also, ditch low(er) level potions & foods.

Get the plugin Daily Task Widget. It can give you information of what items can be used for the daily rep tasks, and what items are junk.

You can't play an MMO walking around with full inventory. Try to keep at least 10 or so spots free because you are constantly bombarded with new items. If you have 1-2 slots free you will have this problem throughout the game and it will only frustrate you. So rather take some time and organize your inventory/vault storage.

In fact, I think LOTRO is the game with most limitations of inventory, from all that I played:

- Skyrim alow you to keep ingredients, equipments, weapons, books, in many chests and warrobe in the house.
- Tibia let you have 2k of free acc space.
- Two worlds also give you a good advantage to collect and keep itens, to make you evolute.

If the players had more itens, the trade could be more dinamic too.

Two of those are single player games.

I currently have five inventory spaces and I feel that is plenty: ten would be stretching it.

You think 5 is plenty, but you are complaining when the game engine requires a free space to properly stack rewards :-/

I am legally entitled to those extra items minus one which I can stack on. And I do use those extra spaces surprisingly fast when crafting Large Guild Emblems, as there are many new types of items that fill up my inventory. Then I manage to just about craft the right amount. The game should register that when I gain the new item the old ones should disappear, but the thing is that I have to make sure I have an extra slot.

How many total inventory do you have at the moment?
