Report a translation problem
For example if you are level 20 you will reciece xp if the mob is between level 12 and 28. But you will not recieve xp if it is below level 11 or higher than 29.
That's a very restrictive system in my opinion but I guess it makes sense considering this game is a bit more theme park-ish at times. It's too bad that lower and higher players can't roam around and both gain from it, bolstered levels and such. Thank you for your reply now I have a clear picture of how it works in LOTRO, thanks!
It's to prevent powerleveling. But you can still go to areas where the monsters are +8 from the low level, and let the high level player kill them. He won't get XP, but that's not why you do it anyway :-)
Haha true! Yeah I think the trick is to tag along with the lower level player, and help those quests get completed and just generally tag along for a ride through middle earth! once they level up a bit let them tag along with us higher level players etc.
