How long does it take to install?

I just downloaded the 18 gigabyte nightmare with my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ internet over 3 days, now it says "downloading file x of 344..." At first I thought it was around 350 files, to my surprise it's over 3000. My PC resolution is 3840x2160 so the launcher is really small and I can't see all the files, just wondering does anyone know how heavy all the patches combined are? Because it took me 2 hours to download 480 files, I also restarted the client just to check and it started all over from file 0, this is extremely frustrating.

Are those all the launcher files, even after the 18 gig original one?

The files you installed originally are out of date. The launcher will download the updates, and will patch the files you have to get thing up to date.
Unfortunately, the LotRO patching process is very, very slow. So even after downloading all files, it will take a long time to do the actual patching.

If you're up to date, a patch takes a lot less time, as it's not such a huge update as this first one you're having now.

Damn, that's a bummer. Unfortunately I can't download that now because it's way too heavy and doesn't have a pause system, gonna look for another MMO I guess.
