Resolutions not showing up in config
When I run the config thing, there are no resolutions available under the graphics tab. My laptop's native resolution of 1366x768 is selected, but all the little squares where other resolutions should be are blank. I've tried forcing the game to 640x480 using the Windows compatibility tab, and it just forces itself back to 1366x768. I've also tried making a custom resolution in my Nvidia panel with 60fps as the refresh rate (I heard somewhere the config program would only pick up 60fps resolutions, my monitor runs at 62 for some reason) and it still didn't show up. Anyone know of a fix for this?

Sounds like your active GPU is not reporting resolutions correctly.

What laptop are you running? Do you have an integrated GPU which is active during desktop view?
Reptar.EXE Aug 7, 2013 @ 7:58pm
It's an older laptop. A Lenovo Ideapad Y450 with an Nvidia 240M GT with no separate integrated graphics card.

What resolutions can your desktop support? Can you try switching to 1280x720, and then running the config again?

If I just go to the screen resolution setting in Windows, I have 1366x768, 1360x768, 1280x768, 1280x720, 1024x768 and 800x600 selectable. Switching to a different resolution and rebooting the config still only gives me 1366x768 as an option =\

Can you download & run MonInfo[www.entechtaiwan.com]?

When it's open, click on the monitor's Display ID up on the top left (tagged as [Registry-Active]), and copy the entire Asset Information box, and paste here.

This is why the game is having trouble finding the resolutions supported. Most likely cause is the monitor's EDID data is not reporting correctly.

Custom resolution set via the NVIDIA Control Panel should override this, however.
When you go to create a custom resolution, do you see a check-box labelled 'Enable resolutions not exposed by the display'? Make sure this is ticked, and then create the resolution again, at 1280x720 @ 60hz.

Having the same issue here. When I open the resolution pane it just shows me blank squares instead of suggested resolutions. I'm running an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 @ 1440x900.
This issue is driving me crazy! haha

Hey there,

The MonInfo information suggests a similar problem to the one the OP is having.

Can you also try and create a custom resolution, 1280x720 @ 60hz, and see if the game detects it?

For more information on how to set up a custom resolution on AMD video devices, refer to the following support article's resolution:

http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/GPU-10-SupportedResolutionsUnavailableforMonitor.aspx
Zivvid Aug 12, 2013 @ 10:27pm
It doesn't work. The game still detects my resolution as 1440x900 @61hz (i can't lower the hz either), and I don't have the EDID checkbox at all in any of the settings. This was even happening when I removed all the amd drivers and was only using the WDDM driver from windows update. hmm, suggestions?

Hey, can you try the following utility in this thread:

http://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-Custom-Resolution-Utility-CRU

This will allow you to create your own custom resolutions via the EDID override method.
If at any point Windows boots into a blank screen (or an Input not supported message pops up on your monitor), you can boot into Safe Mode and revert the changes easily.

Once it's running, you'll want to create a new detailed resolution that matches your current resolution @ 60hz.

Click Add... up the top, under the Detailed Resolutions list.

Click on the Timing drop box, and select "Automatic - LCD standard"

In the Active box under Horizonal, type 1440

In the Active box under Vertical, type 900

In the Refresh Rate box, type 60

The Pixel clock box should auto fill to be (close to) 88.90 MHz. This is important as an erroneously high value could damage the monitor.

Click Ok, and then restart the computer.

Check to see if the resolution is listed in the Conifguration for SASRT. If it doesn't, then open CRU again, and move (use the arrow buttons) the resolution you created to the top of the list.

If that still doesn't work, post back here; there's another thing to try.

If you're unsure of any step, feel free to add me to Friends. :)

Darn, that didn't work either. Neither creating the new resolution, nor moving the new resolution to the top of the list (each with a reboot, and a trip to the SASRT config) fixed the issue.

I did notice there was some slight screen flicker after the 1st reboot, so the new resolution did in fact take effect (from 60.823mhz(109.50mhz) to 60.002hz(88.90mhz).

What else are we able to try?
