The process is a little bit more complicated, but not that difficult. Here is a small guide:
http://videojuegosyemuladores.wordpress.com/2012/03/05/wiimote-nunchuck-script-with-glovepie-and-ppjoy/
You need PPjoy and GlovePie. PPJoy creates a virtual joystick, GlovePie gives the instructions to the virtual joystick (for example, you can set Joystick button 1 = wiimote shake in glovepie, so in a game you select your virtual joystick as your controller and when you shake the wiimote, the game detect this as the button 1). Once this is done, you should be able to see your controller on "Devices and Printers" (Windows 7) just like any normal PC controller.
For games that use the Xbox 360 controller exclusively, you will need one extra thing:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/21651954/x360ce%20vibmod%203.1.4.1.zip
That's a Xbox controller emulator. It will make the game think that you controller is a Xbox 360 one.
After you have finally configured you wiimote as standard controller, unzip that file and open XinputTest. You will see a interface with the Xbox 360 controller. There, simply match the button and actions (for example, the wiimote tilt to the left analog stick). Once that's done, copy the files "xinput1_3.dll" and "x360ce.ini" to the Sonic game's folder where the main exe is. This will carry the button layout you made with XinputTest to the game and the game will detect your VirtualController/wiimote as a Xbox 360 controller. This work with any other game that requieres or uses a 360 controller
So basically is wiimote >GlovePie>PPjoy = Standard controller. Then you add Xinput if the game uses the 360 one (like Skyrim).
I actually want to try this myself, years ago I connected my wiimote to the PC succesfully and it was very fun, but I have to find the bluetooth thing >_>
I recommend that you start with something simple. Create a Virtual Joystick with PPjoy and configure the A of the wiimote as button 1 in Glovepie. If that works (test the controller in "Devices and Printers"), carry on. Don't try to make the whole controller work at the first try or you will go crazy.
Good Luck!
"PPjoy1.digital1 = Wiimote.One"
And click RUN. This means thant the button 1 of the virtual controller is the button 1 in the Wiimote.
Go to devices and printers an test if the button is working in your virtual controller.
It's not perfect but maybe you could adapt it to your needs.
