Pursuit help?

Hey guys, I've had this game on console before and played through all the way on A-rank with only a few exceptions, but it seems that pursuit is infintely harder on here than it was on console, so is there any sort of advice you might give to help a brother out?

My personal advice is that you try to slow down so you wont get hit by the tank's attacks. Drive carefully and keep collecting ammo.

I am also having problems with this mode. Namely, that my missiles don't seem to damage it when I attack head on. I have to fire at it from an angle for the hit to register. Also, the last time I tried this event, I had spent several minutes slowly but surely whittling its health down and I was almost done when it just suddenly failed me out for no apparent reason. Either you fail if you let the tank get too far ahead and I didn't know or there's an invisible time limit. Can someone explain this to me?

I had a lot more luck trying these in multiplayer than by myself. Put one player on duty shooting the tank's attacks and the rest can focus on hitting the tank itself.

Use a character with high handling, like Amigo or Tails. Don't be afraid to slow down either. Use ammo to shoot down the tanks attacks if you cant dodge them. Ammo conservation is key too. You want to dodge the attacks more then shooting them down. When the tank opens its weakpoint, shoot the living hell out of it, but watch the terrain. Shooting the tank over jumps can waste ammo.

The easiest way for me:

High handling character (Amigo)
Basically coming to a halt to collect all of the ammo
Slowly make your way back up to the tank
Dodge and wait for him to open up
Make sure your shots are accurate and pelt him mercilessly

Repeat back to step 2, and you'll never have trouble with Pursuit again.
