Issue with Xbox 360 controller
Hi there dear community,

I recently downloaded this game (free weekend, not pirate) and apparently my Xbox 360 controller triggers don't work properly. All the other buttons work perfectly but I'm having this issue when it comes to remap the "accelerate" button, I push the right trigger and the Config panel doesn't recognize it.

I've tried it out with 3 different games and it works perfectly, I don't know what happens here :S

Thank you in advance :)

Why are you trying to remap buttons? When you plug in a 360 controller it automatically works with it the trigger beign accelerate.

Because every time I push the acceleration trigger I receive no response ingame, my car doesn't accelerate. This happens without making any change in the Controls Panel.

Do you have the pad plugged in, prior to launching Sonic? Plugging it in after will cause it to cut out completely.

Yes, I plug it before the launch. It's a wireless controller by the way

Having the same problem. Controller works fine for all menu selections, then no buttons or triggers do anything once a race starts. Mine is hard wired.

Hey :), I think it would be useful to share our PC specs over here in order to see if we have any hardware in common. It would help to identify the problem :).

I'll tell you my specs tomorrow, as I'm using another PC right now.
Bye!

Just thought I'd mention that I'm using a wired 360 controller, and I'm not having any issues. I'm just using the default settings and haven't tried remapping or anything, though.

I figured it out. Before I started the game I went to configure mode and added the Xbox Controller in the first slot. Apparently the game hates this, I went back to configure and removed it to set it to none and the controller now works.

Glad you figured this out and posted it here. I had the same issue.

Nothing over here :(, having the same issue. All controls are working ingame except the triggers.

This probably won't help but just in case; unplug any other controllers from your PC. It worked for me in Battlestations Pacific when all the buttons were not working right.

I want to use the d-pad of my wired 360-controller to steer the car. When trying to configure a custom mapping the program just crashes:

Running Windows 7 with a decent computer ;). Pity, but happy I didn't buy the game so far.

Thanks for your response, but no other controllers are switched to my PC.

Why would I need that when I have the official controller of Microsoft?, I'll try anyway. Thanks for the suggestion.
