Firing All-Star attacks in reverse.

Gum's All-Star move aside, I've noticed many AI racers being able to fire "projectile" All-Star attacks in reverse (such as Amy's hammers, Gillius' axes, or Danica's wheels). I've tried to do this myself on many different characters but I can't seem to pull it off. Is it possible to fire certain All-Star attacks backwards, or is this yet another example of the cheating AI?

I too have seen Gum launch her heart things forward but it doesnt seem to work when I try?

i acutally haven't tried this but i don't see people online doing this so i belive the ai is cheating

I have seen some weird things too, though it's not about all star attacks. I have seen some AI bots being able to shoot the blowfish backwards, and I'm not talking about dropping it behind, but shooting it in reverse. I can't figure out how to do it so I guess it's some sort of cheating.

I've never seen this, but I'll be "that guy" and ask: are you sure they didn't just ricochet off a wall 180 degrees?

Shogun was parallel to me in the home stretch of Galactic Parade and I watched him fire his missile barrage backwards. Shogun's All-Star move can't ricochet.

But, it's funny you mentioned this, since I booted the game up a few minutes after my first post and ate a reverse missile from TF2 point-blank. Good ol' cheating, colluding, crazy-inducing AI.

I know your point and I've seen that happen too. Probably should've listed Tails, Ulala, or Shogun for examples since I've seen them all do it too, and I can't seem to do it myself.

Everyone else fires forwards :)

That doesn't work. Try it yourself and you'll see that it only drops behind, like normal.

This rule/logic aparantly does not apply to CPU racers. But it's good to know that I myself can't do this, thanks for clearing that up.

That doesn't work. Try it yourself and you'll see that it only drops behind, like normal.

You have to hold back the stick and hold down the A as if you were launching a set of 2 or 3. I have launched it back myself that way.

Edit: Just tested this myself and it seems I stand corrected. Not doable, though I could've sworn I have done it before. Oh well.

I don't know... I saw a video of the XBox 360 version where the player do this with Ulala's All Star !

I did it with Ulala by looking backwards and push down !
