Split screen on two monitors?
Does anyone know if there is a way to, (and not just for this game), make it so that local co-op uses each different monitor for each different player?

Thank you.

Not officially. However, there's a (very ugly) hack that works with this game: resizing the game to fill the 2 screens. You'll need to:

  • Place one screen below the other. This is because the split is horizontal.
  • Set the game to any 16:9 resolution and windowed mode
  • Use ResizeEnable[www.digitallis.co.uk]to allow the game to be resized (it's locked by default)
  • Resize the game!

Unfortunately this ill also stretch the HUD and menus. There's nothing you can do about this :(

Don't listen to JohnTH! He's crazy! He's Mad! No seriously, there's a better, cleaner way of doing it, here's the proper way! John's way will leave you with horrible borders, my way will leave you with a true FullScreen Experience.

  • On AMD Catalyst Center/Nvidia Control Center, Enable Eyefinity/Nvidia Surroud. On the setup, make sure to place the screens in a vertical layout (one above the other) (your resolution doesn't need to be 16:9 for this);
  • Go to the Game's Configuration, on Display Options, select "Windowed";
  • Still on the Game's Configuration, Select ANY 16:9 resolution (1280x720 for example);
  • {LINK REMOVED}, decompress the folder, and open the file "GameCompanion.exe". It will show a green icon next to your clock in the taskbar.
  • Open up the game, enjoy!

What JohnTH said, however it's true: The game will have a horribly stretched Menu (especially the main menu), however in game, aside from the stretch HUD, it'll look awesome, especially because you'll each one of you get your own screen! The Stretched HUD in-game won't cause any problems at all :)

Sorry BlackLionPT, you are complete lame.
nVidia drivers won't allow Surround unless you've got 3 (THREE) displays connected. But even if you've got 3, all of those need to have exactly the same resolution, freqs and polarity (it can be done via modifying drivers, if they don't). All you wrote works for Eyefinity/AMD graphics more likely, nVidia users still are in black hole.

Hi. There's no reason to approach me like that. I'm here to help in what i can, and i did nothing wrong for you to address me in such insulting manners.

I own and AMD card. All my knowledge from Nvidia's side is based on what others tell me (this is how i wrote down the "how to set up and troubleshoot the game" guide, based on print screens and tests from people who own an Nvidia / Intel card).

I was not aware that Nvidia's side was limited to 3 screens configuration. The topic creator did also not specify if he was using AMD or Nvidia, and to be honest, i assumed Nvidia's cards could do just like AMD ones: Use multiple screens (no matter the number) as one full desktop (with them all using the same resolution, size and shape is indifferent).

You could simply correct me saying that Nvidia cards do not support 2 screens configuration when in Surround mode.

There are other ways to accomplish this without using Game Companion. John's "Reside Enabler" program allows to stretch a window into a second screen for example. All that's left now is to know if Nvidia cards will or not show a black screen when you move the game's window across the 2 screens working in non-surround mode. If yes, then Reside enabler is definitely a solution to the Nvidia problem, even if not as perfect as GameCompanion. I will check to see if it's possible for game companion to strech the window across screens if they aren't on Surround mode, but for that i'm going to first need to find someone with an Nvidia GPU to try this for me :).

My instructions above work for all AMD cards that support Eyefinity, i tested myself that. See the photo bellow, it's from the "Multi monitors" part of my guide:

http://cloud-3.steampowered.com/ugc/666830772868673764/D80A57D3727FB23564EC22D44C05F6FB1FEE4AF5/

And of course, like I said above, it requires both screens to use the same resolution. But most screens, even 4:3 ones have native support for 1280x720 (even if stretched), it wouldn't be an issue if they where different sizes (i also tested with my 4:3 screen that's why i know).

You can check the guide yourself here bellow, I’m leaving a shortcut to it.

The guide isn't perfect, that's why I’m always open to receive input from other people in order to perfect it, there's no need for "cyber bulling" me while doing so :)
