getting an error code

so just got this game a few days ago but it will not load at all just says error game is already running what do i do

Ok just as i posted that, the program combatability assistant came up and then ran the troubleshooter, which did the exact same thing as Elunie suggested, but it worked when I pressed the test button this time? I have no idea what black magic just happened there but it did.

I guess the games working for me now, I have genuinely no idea what the troubleshooter did that I didn't, I wish I could help you but I can't. Maybe try running the compatibility troubleshooter? It's in the compatibility tab in properties just above the compatibility mode options.

Idk I uninstall mine for now till they actually come out with a windows 11 support update

I found solution for my pc, maybe also works with your computer. Go to game files folder, turn on Launcher in combatability mode with win8(can by 7 or xp). Change the Display options to FULLSCREEN/WINDOWED. On only fullscreen game doesn't work, only white screen and close the game. Don't forgot to change in controls input device for the player 1. Keyboard or xbox gamepad. Without setup xbox gamepad for player 1, my Dualsense from ps5 works by steam input but without vibrations. After change, everything works fine. i don't needed run ASN_App_PcDx9_Final.exe in combatability mode. Works on the updated Win 11 with Intel ARC A770 16GB graphic.

I'm so relieved to know that others are having this issue, I'm seeing the exact same error messages. I've tried a whole bunch of things. Maybe wait on getting refunds because this game was definitely working a year ago. More than likely this is a bad update on segas or steams clients. Add reviews on the store page and i bet there will be more people having the issue

Hey, I had the same issue, to solve it, I've just deleted "installscript.vdf" here SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
Just try to do so and I think it will help you :-)
