Controller not responding in game

I've always wanted this game and was so happy when I finally got it! Played a few hours using my Xbox 360 controller and worked perfectly. However recently after playing again a few weeks later it seems the controller is recognised in game, but responds to no buttons anymore ? I know the controller is fine, because I still use it to play Rocket League as well... anyone else having this issue ? Not sure if theres been an update that might have caused this.

It would also be nice to have the game recognise when a controller is plugged in and automatically switch controls. Currently it seems you have to have the controller active before starting the game, otherwise it defaults to keyboard, same thing once you press a button on the keyboard, it overwrites controller and does not go back, forcing a restart of the game. Sigh... REALLY enjoy this game, but cant see myself playing it as much if I have to use keyboard...

Have you tried right clicking the game in the Steam Library and using the 'configure' option to launch the game's options? Try resetting the controls from there to see if it fixes it.

Funny you should mention that. I noticed the configure option for the first time, as soon as the controller stopped working. Sadly, nothing seemed to happen once I lauched configure mode... :<

Go to Documents>SART, delete controllers.xml and try running configuration once again.
