Is it safe to plug in a cable between controller and PC while having non-rechargeable batteries inside the controller? I don't want to have to take out the batteries every time I play Sonic Racing.
This rechargeable battery uses (as far as I know) the same contacts as non-rechargeable AA batteries and it charges within the controller if you plug the controller to a PC or an Xbox console. Therefore, I conclude that it is not safe to plug in a cable between the Xbox controller and PC while having non-rechargeable AA batteries in it.
I've had problem with Batman: Arkham Origins playing with Bluetooth where the button bindings are messed up, but enabling the Steam input fixes the issue with controls via Bluetooth.
For this Sonic Racing, I really cannot play it via Bluetooth. The analog triggers don't work. I have to plug a USB cable to connect between my Xbox controller and my laptop to play it properly. Enabling Steam input for this Sonic Racing game will counterproductively disable my controller for the game.
