Xbox 360 button prompts on Dualshock 4

Ok there's no way nobody else is having this issue. I have a Dualshock 4 plugged in, it works but the game only shows Xbox 360 controller button prompts. Is there no mod to replace them with Dualshock 4 button prompts or at least PS3 button prompts out there? Tried searching online for a solution but of course nothing.

Just tried it with a Dualshock 3, game still detects it as an Xbox 360 controller. I know for a fact 1 or 2 years ago I tried connecting a Dualshock 3 and playing this and it detected it just fine. How do you make the game detect the proper controller?

Just like many other PC games, this one doesn't have native support for DualShock controllers so you need to use a 3rd party program that makes your controller emulate a X360 one

So, in the end, you'll just have to get used to having the X360 buttons on screen which doesn't actually affect your gameplay experience honestly

Absolute bolocks tbh. And it does affect the gameplay experience when I literally don't know what buttons to press because I'm not familiar with the Xbox 360 controller layout. Whatever, just gunna use the Keyboard and Mouse controls like I used to back in the day.

You can learn it fairly quickly but yeah, playing with keyboard is something you can do too however this game feels more optimized for controllers

Yeah I know it's a console game originally, but years and years ago when I first got it I didn't have any sort of controller so I learned to play it with kb+m pretty well.

Then it should be fine, I know there is at least a top player who uses keyboard so it should be a viable option
