Game keeps crashing
Whenever I try to start up the configure or the game itself, I get nothing. But when I go into the location of the game and I click on "Launcher.exe" or "ASN_App_PcDx9_Final.exe", I get an error message that says "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application." and clicking "OK" does nothing. I tried verifying the integrity and it said it was "All files successfully validated."

I have Windows 10 Professional 64bit, and everything is equal to, or higher than the system requirements. I also have the Metal Sonic DLC and the Ryo Hazuki DLC. All of my Visual Studio and .NET versions are also up to date

Sonic Generations also had this same error.

Please help me fix this problem with any suggestions that anyone has, anything's worth a shot, I guess.

I tried everything that it said, and I still either got the same error, or nothing happened. All of my drivers and GPUs are up to date. Also in my Documents folder, there is no folder named "SART" or "Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed"

I also put my game folder into "D:\(My Name)\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed" (Which is also where my Steam folder is), instead of the default "C:\Program Files (x86)\..."

Now I changed my game file location to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed" from "D:\(My Name)\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed"

2019... in the games install directory is a folder redist>direct x -scroll down inside the directX folder to the directX .exe and do the installation of it. That worked for me.

Do you mean to "DXSETUP.exe" file?
Right click -> Run as administrator -> Accept the privacy and that´s it?

I tried everything, I have up to date drivers, installed direct X that came with the game and still crashes randomly during races. I can’t get past course 2 on career without a crash so it’s an uninstall for me :steamsad:

I solved this by going to where the game is stored and locate the Launcher.exe, and run that as an administrator. Fixed it for me.

Set the Launcher.exe to compatibility mode with Windows 7. Fixes the entire problem for Configuration and the game itself.
