We need FG for 4000 cards
How do you enable FSR FG?
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Silent_Hill_2#FSR_3_Frame_Generation
Did the below and no option showed up in the game to enable it:
Enable FSR 3 Frame Generation currently not exposed in game's settings
Go to the configuration file(s) location.
Open Engine.ini with a text editor.
Add [SystemSettings] to the bottom of the file, if that section doesn't already exist.
Inside that section, add r.FidelityFX.FI.Enabled=1.
Save the file.
In game, enable FSR 3.0 through graphics options menu for FSR 3 Frame Generation to activate.
EDIT: Ahhh it wasn't a separate thing in options. It shows up under the upscaling as "FSR 3.0" vs 1.0
MUCH better. Cutscenes now run at 60fps vs 30, and I'm getting a nice smooth 144 fps in the game. I don't see any glitches so far with FSR 3.0 FG enabled and on quality.
Running on an rtx 4090 @ 1440p with max settings enabled. I also used the below to kill DOF, film grain, and chromatic aberration
[SystemSettings]
r.DepthOfFieldQuality=0
r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0
r.SceneColorFringe.Max=0
r.FidelityFX.FI.Enabled=1
r.Vrs.Enable=0
That's what I meant. Optiscaler enables you to use DLSS for upscaling and FSR 3 FG to generate frames while continuing to use DLSS.
Just google Optiscaler (you can find it on GitHub), download the latest release and follow the instructions on GitHub
