Cant complain as Konami surprised me with good regional pricing. I only paid 36 bucks for Deluxe Edition. About 1.2 percent of my monthly income

I agree it really sucks. But I view it as sentimental value. I've grown up playing Silent Hill games so I view it as supporting them. I just hope they deliver.

In my country is 16% of the money i am left with after taxes, rent, utilities, food etc. It is steep. But i am not buying first day release that often.

You may be overestimating how long Silent Hill 2 is lol. The remake is apparently a little bit longer but I wouldn't tack on another 10 hours, and the devs are always going to overshoot it to make it sound more worth of the price. And after spending some time in the games industry? I can assure you the overwhelming majority of people do not replay games just to get different endings. It's a fun additive for those that want to, but most don't bother.

Even if it were 20 hours long? $100+ is still completely absurd. We may have differing opinions on value though and that's totally fine. I just like to maximize my money's value because living in Canada suuuuuuucks at the moment lmao.

Oh, no I was just going off by people on Reddit who got it early. As well as a few reviewers. That being said, totally understandable. Times are tough with this shi**y economy and things are getting crazy expensive.

The original game released at its PS2 MSRP would be about $88 USD today adjusted for inflation. As far as I'm concerned, this remake is new, from-the-ground-up AAA production in terms of labor and production costs. $69.99 is the current standard AAA MSRP. So I consider it not unreasonable, personally. Whether anyone individually feels it's worth that is their call, of course. And I'm not accounting for aberrant regional pricing on Steam.

$102.50 and $117au is pathetic for digital. That's the price of what a collectors edition is meant to cost with physical items. Happy I got it from greenmangaming instead for $90au deluxe and had the key pop on time, which is still a little high but more acceptable than $117.
