If they make BRAND NEW Games and not Remakes + Huge success financially. then that's probably the moment they are back
It came back with fresh new soldiers
But the idea of their being "back" to me implies them returning to full scale in-house development of brand new original projects with their own dedicated internal teams. And that doesn't appear to be likely anytime soon.
If there's to be any narrative that emerges from this game turning out to be what I hope it will (still reserving judgment for stability and performance reports personally, but it looks great imo,) in my eyes it should be, "Bloober has arrived," rather than, "Konami is back." Give the devs who labored to create this their flowers if it turns out to be a game you love.
