Angela's model looks fine and always has to me, as do the other models in the game.

They've publicly said (and I can clearly see with my own two eyes, whether the likeness is spot on in every scene owing to various factors or not) that her appearance is based on the actress portraying her in this remake. So the design was not arbitrary.

I've little doubt it also pulls heavily from design elements from the original game and/or from source material of various sorts like those shown in this thread, as one would naturally expect.

Pyramid Head has given up his former life of graping and has decided to devote his spare time to fixing the plumbing around Silent Hill, that is when he's not murdering or virtue signaling.

new angela doesnt look close to skech angela: sketch angela doesnt have the "weird jaw"; all sketch characters look slim or skinny, obv except "pizza-dude".

imo the new aspect of characters doesnt help the story.

Probably it would have been great actually, and Mads does look like James, wow 🙀.

Not sure how able Kojima is on writing/directing horror, but SH2R is a remake with its own source material so it could work.

So to recap/sum up:

• The original game's art director designed the enemies in this game and helped make decisions about new enemy placements/arrangements
  
• The original game's art director helped select the actors portraying the characters and providing mocap in this game, and on that basis, in the case of some characters, he specifically states he helped select their faces
  
• The current series producer at Konami says, accordingly, the design of Angela's face was based on the actress portraying her, not an arbitrary design from scratch
  
• The design appears to seek to least reasonably comport with source material from the original game (whether people personally feel they do or not subjectively)
  
• Both the original art director and the series creator are conveying public support for this remake.
