Finding ship parts and blue prints...
I am attempting to assemble an experimental ship- thought it might be cool- and it says I can find whole ship parts- not just the components- in the wreckage of destroyed ships. I'd like to see proof that this is, indeed, possible- because it doesn't seem that this statement is true under any condition. I have flown and docked to each faction's hubs, searched every sector of the galaxy, destroyed several pirates, xenos, cyphers, cartels, bounty hunters, smugglers, and enemy transports- and I have yet to find even ONE of these fully created ship parts- like a computer package, or an engine package- in the rubble of a destroyed ship. Also, The likelihood of finding a blueprint for a MK V straphannel canon and other such high level loot seems impossible to find. does anyone have any proof that these items are not completely impossible to locate?

I know that blueprints are possible to find, but you need a spacial scanner to find them. I bought a DLC on sale and got one for a T5 ship, spacial scanner that is. As for componenets, I thought it just said that you can find the parts to make the parts, so to speak. Are you sure it said you can find fully crafted ones?

You don't need spatial scanner to find blueprints. But with the spatial scanner is easier to find alien stashes and pirate stashes which sometimes have blueprints inside.

And parts so far only spawn in special operations loot. I don't know about anyone who has found a ship part outside of that PvE special operation.

Thanks, Guys!

I know that the Spatial Scanner is a very viable option, though every time i have found a pirate stash, I have only found credits or t3 doccuments- nothing too special. I hope you gentlemen find better success than I have experienced this far

You also don't need a spatial scanner to find the cloaked Mysterious Containers that often DO contain Blueprints, but having one sure helps! As for Pirate and Alien stashes, I've NEVER found a BP from one. Where did this idiotic rumor come from?

Seriously, does nobody know the easy-way to find blueprints or even what kind of containers to look for? Maybe I should shut up then...

Spatial scanners are useless and not worth it; move along, nothing to see here.

smh
Spatial scanner for me is the single most useful item in the game, it literally saved me from spending any money and i bought it via prize money i got from competitions. I acquired all of the Open Space blueprints, a ton of neodium plates and berylium rods and hundreds of millions credits.

Also, you can find the mysterious cargo containers by luck only, you need the scanner because spawn points change all the time. I'm guessing nobody here farms MCCs since the pirate stash and random containers are labeled on the same level as MCC's.

Blueprints were dropping only from Alien Stashes at the beginning. Mysterious containers were introduced later and BPs were moved from AS to MCs.
Also you got the answer - to find BPs get a spatial scanner and look for Mysterious Containers.

True. It's a shame that I bought it 8 months after it was introduced. Still, got enough to be satisfied. Problem now is that all locations have been altered and that Mysterious container can literally be anywhere on the map, even on the edge of each map!

Isn't that "find whole ship parts" refering to the purple dots in the really high tier special ops?

All I've ever found in OS is BP's and raw/refined materials. I've gotten a goodly pile of BP's but that assumes you have the mono to waste on maybe a 5% increase in stats.
