Computing chip or crystal shards ?
Hey guys, anyone know how to get these two?
I try to find it on google but only just few post said I can find crystal shard in the open speace staring area.
But I try about 2 hours and not find a single one of them.
Anybody know how do you got these ? Thanks a lot :)

Chips are made with crystal shards in the workshop. And crystal shards are found in small asteroids, usually in rank 7 and rank 10 locations. I don't remember if they can also be found in low level locations.

Also, you can recycle green upgrade kits for parts, but I think only tier 4 and tier 5 give computing chips.

TIPS FOR OPEN SPACE:
1- Search at Google for the fanmade starmap, pointing the gates with Cargo Drones on them.
2- Activate the Status Ship key when you arrive to the map. (It helps displaying the names of objects surrounding you)
3- Clean the map of those objects, asteroids and cargo holds, sending them via those Cargo Drones. Those items respawn with time.
4- RINSE AND REPEAT! (With this tactic you can even obtain a hefty sum of money... just try with different maps, and choose your preferred. R7 and R10 as Eviscerador said!)
