[GET] Weapon From ZONE = ? Discussion..........................................................................................(tags: destroyed ship drop farm guide)
Hello pilots wanted to create a post where ppl can post the reliability of weapon collecting and farming! So i want a plazma mini gun for my Shp:Fox. Rnk: 5. It states [Get] From destroyed ships in the zone captured dreadnought. So on flying out there in my foxxy ship destroying 100+ ships like a fox in a hen house. I found no drops no weapons just ore and junk. no ship dropped a dam thing. Is this a bug are weapons obtained by drops from destroying a ship in the stated zones? If anyone can share there experience would be greatly appreciated :)

Exactly, not to mention that most of the times you're not the only one looking for an item in a zone, also the fact that some NPCs are just waaay too OP for specific types of ships to deal with them. They should increase the drop chance of items and nerf the NPC damage output and damage resistance.Cause lets face it not everyone wants to grind for a tanky ship then upgrade it with the necessary modules for free-roam to even have a shot at getting an item *WHICH* might not even drop after hours of grinding or something completely different drops that you might not have a need or a ship for.
Why Russians can get together and do a sweep of the whole sector and I have yet to see such thing from non-russians? Seriously - it takes half an hour to get everything you need in Sanctuary if you are doing the sweep with 4-5 people. Yes, it will drop some items you don't want but you can exchange it for something they don't need. I'm missing 45 items from 897 available in total, of which 7 I want to have and I don't have time for "hours of grinding" - where is fun of that?
Seriously - grab a team and do sweeping. STORM did even better - they went with whole wings to do such sweeps. Anyone that wanted something could join the hunt.
And I will not comment of "too strong NPCs" as I never had that problem, especially now when you can warp even a destroyer to any sector in no time. Or build insta-regen ships like covertops or tacklers.
Well I've yet to see such an organised sector sweep, I see only a lot of people around in one system when there's a daily mission there otherwise not really. Also I should mention that I'm not part of any larger non-russian corporation, I have a tight group of friends playing and I prefer to stay within my circle of known people or just solo. Thats just how I am.

Then why you just won't organize a "ship equipment search party" with your friends?

It would still yield minimum results given that most of the time others are hunting for modules and weapons as well, not to mention when you find a weapon you will only recieve one copy of it not like an unlock. So if you have for example multiple gunships you need extra copies of that module or gun for it.Plus the lvl range of the weapon and the module, I would need new copies of it whenever a new ship is out of its tier (for example a lvl 10 ship could still use a lvl9 weapon but of course I would need to remove it from that lvl 9 ship and equip it to the new one and get another lvl 9, or just grind for a higher lvl weapon for the new ship) Either way, I would end up doing the same grind just to have that same module/weapon again.

I just love the assumptions. Why wouldn't you try? If there are other pilots in the sector hunting for items why won't you invite them to the group? Why wouldn't you exchange items? It's not like only one item drops in a sector - otherwise scavenging parties wouldn't make sense.
But of course - it's your opinion, I cannot change it and I don't want to.

From my own experience - I'm flying only around 25 ships, sometimes switching one for another just for fun. I checked my inventory and I usually have up to 3 copies of weapons - one for T5 ship, one for T4 ship and maybe one if I use alternative ship often (like Atlas and Gargoyle), but again - if you feel the need to fully equip all ships - it's up to you.

Its just that my lazy a.s.s loved it better when you could buy weapons and modules and only had to farm for the more special ones. :ghlol:

Thanks everyone for your replies the more replies comments and complaints i get allows me to forward response emails to the devs and request possible changes.. a single voice alone doesnt make much of an impact.. Its in clear need of rework by the sounds of it... for all of any games flaws having the developers simply have you waste your time grinding for absolutly nothing is not the way to go. not with this games potential :)

I agree with you nibbiru its more less about being lazy and more about a game and it time consuming you..Is it worth it. serious dedication to SC still provides dissapointing results. .. This game is so close to being great if the developers could just tweak a few things here and there while still maintaining there consumer profits it would have a much bigger fan base.
The patches they keep creating are not changing the very few things all players want and have done since release.. I wont get into here!

I simply play this game for a bit of fun now and then. Most others find them selves doing also it seems.
Devoting time effort and money for a system designed to take more than it wants to give and with random or repeat rolls is a con. Infact an insult to give in to its possible outcomes!
Many game designers are so focused on squeezing every penny where possible. They forget that passion is what pays profits in there pockets.
I could spend a £1000 pounds on the game and still be frustrated by what i cant get or do. Its restrictions and rules bound by the developers Limited vision. So the game ends up more or less ignored and stagnent no matter what updates they throw at it. suffers from managment greed clearly is why i wont spend another penny on it.. Oh to late already threw money at it.. synergy should be called styngy.
The perfect game is yet to be desired..
I hope a shake up to this game is done over the next few years... it has great potential... I will be making some effort of support in the requests to developers on future updates..Discussions complaints and all ideas are welcome

You'll occasionally find really generous randoms flying around in OS...
I recently had a thing, where I was en route in my Silent Fox from Mendes IX to Threshold for Crystal Shards, to complete my second r8 Dessy. As I'm making my way through Iridium Haul, I see another player in a Dessy on radar and do my normal thing and fire a single shot to target him and see what he's flying. The other player returns favor, and targets me. A few seconds later, I get a whisper from the player, asking if I needed the auto turret active module for r7-r13 Dessies. When I answered in the positive, since I had no dessy active modules at all, the player dropped 4 different weapon modules, only one of them being the turret module, the other three being high-level general puropse modules.
Before I could drop a 60k sellable as payment, which was all I had, he warps out of the zone, never to be seen again.
It's not often that you'll come across a player like that, but when you do, it's an awesome feeling to come across a friendly pilot in the unfriendly skies...

Bad is you have a Broken Quest , the Station Protection for this off , on a not PvP Sektor , you say on Sektor Chat you her for the "PvE Quest , not PvP" , and other Player kill you , that is bad.

Or the Quests on PvP Sektor's , you on the Sektor , say "Quest PvE , not PvP" , and other kill you for the Quest make you , that is bad.

---

Better on PvP Sektor's not more the PvE Quest , better PvP Quest , and this PvE Quest not more for Events.

I Play Open Space for PvE Quest and Fight vs NPC's.

Make i PvP Start i the Option on Hangar.

This game needs to have its loot drop rates sorted out. Anyone that says otherwise either has this "Squad" of people they have at their command that will willingly give up hours of their limited lives just for you or have already got decent equipment that can obliterate Open Space enemies so fast that its really no big deal. I don't enjoy it and I know a bunch of other people who have said the same thing. But hey, since when is a game supposed to be fun. It's supposed to be a second, unpaid job that you do in your free time.

You can play it as you wish. If you finding fun in mindless grind - no one will take that from you. I prefer to get online with few friends from all over the world and have a good craic over a pint, hunting those pesky aliens/riders whatever. After 2 hours everyone had what they wanted to have. Mission accomplished (IIRC 17 different modules/weapons, some of them with multiple copies - it was enough for all members of the party).

It still amuses me why people are trying to play squad oriented game solo.

the thing is that even if you have a strong ship you get insta kild or kild very quickly so you dont have the chance do destroy them

My go-to farming ship is Patriarch with MIRV, except for Sanctuary - where I was usually taking a destroyer. The only problematic sector except the Sanctuary is Colonization Hub - fortunately drops are pretty frequent there - I usually was flying tackler there. No other sector I found problematic to farm with my go-to ship.

BTW: this guide lists drops on sector by sector basis:

i find it funny as well even though i mostly play by myself, however at the same time I understand i make it harder on myself when i do go into OS by myself.
