Reveler Bugged?

The Reveler, a Senetor unit, seems to be bugged. Me and my friend were playing and he tried to start a revelry in an ancient forest. When he did this however it started spawning hoards of hostile satyr against him! I remember in the older versions this never happend, is this supposed to happen now or is it a glitch?
