Mod request : Portable Teleporter and/or be able to teleport from anywhere (like underground)

This is dumb, NPCs are able to teleport from anywhere, why not the player ? And getting back to the surface when you are mining is just annoying.

Maybe a mod allowing the teleport button to be always active (even in a cave or when there are background tiles) or maybe a mod similar to this one :

For what it's worth, i think Frackin' Universe adds a teleporter that can be used anywhere, and if you're really desperate, you could /admin to beam up.

Can you give me some precisions about the FU teleporter ? (craftable ? expensive ? early/mid/late game ?) Is it similar to the Portable Teleporter mod ?

I don't think i ever used that mod, so i'm not sure, granted the vanilla game also has teleporters you can plonk down and use so long as it has space.

I don't play without admin mode because i've already had to beat the game thrice, so ain't dealing with that yet again, so i haven't crafted it, as i don't need to use it, but... pretty sure there's a teleporter somewhere in the base FU crafting thing's interface, or maybe gene lab.

I might have to check later, or someone else might have to confirm that.

I didn't know you could teleport from anywhere while /admin is active, I will simply use this command when I want to leave a cave, thanks for the information !

You can't teleport while sitting or laying down, i believe while using /admin, but apart from that, yeah, anywhere. Though typically, this is regarded as cheating, which puts some people off.

No problem, as long as I can get back to ship from underground.

IMO a solo player game has to be fun and enjoyed by the player, if you don't like a feature it is great to be able to tweak it. Each player balances his game and his experience how he sees fit. As you said earlier you use admin mode to get to end game faster because you already beat the game multiple times during EA so having to beat it again would not be fun for you.

Having fun is paramount in a game. In a solo game "cheating" doesn't give you an unfair advantage compared to other players because there are no other players, so you don't ruin the fun of anyone by being OP while they are not, etc.

Anyway, you see and probably share my point :)

I play this game to build and explore rather then go through the story or combat.
Admin mode gives me the ease at which i'd like to do so with, what with unlimited crafting, health ect.
There's a reason i downloaded that mod to make almost everything non-hostile, here for playing the game how i wanted, not be attacked by everything every six seconds.
Not to mention how you now go careening off a cliff if you even slightly step while on most slopes..
