Iv never really learned how to do power/electric stuff in starbound, does anyone have/know a simple guide to wiring stuff?, elevators that stop at each floor, generators etc etc

If you want to use an elevator, use an XOR switch and a button / lever for them.
Commonly found next to elevators in the Forge biome.
If you're asking to make elevators stop mid-track, sorry, this can't be done.
They only go up and down all the way.

Connect a blue node with a red node, blue is output, red is input
(connect a door's red to a light's blue to make lights turn on when you open the door)
