FTL Drive Won't Place

So I've figured out the whole FTL drive thing, but now that I've crafted one, I can't place it on the ship. I place it, and it drops for pickup.

Mods in use: Frakkin Universe, Resource Extractor, Augment Extractor, Augment Combiner, Enhanced Storage, Food Stack, Optional Erchius Mining Facility Quest

Might be old and someone found the answer already, but in case someone stumbles upon this:

You can only have one FTL Drive per ship. Placing any more than one will immediately drop it for pickup.

It's really... really old. ROFL. That was one issue I came across later, but the issue from the OP was where I'd built it. The drive was a fake, part of a list of decor, not the actual drive.
