Trying To Find a Space-Time Anomaly
First thing's first. There are so many ways to write Space-time anomaly that I wouldn't be surprised if this discussion exists somewhere and I just couldn't find it. So, to make this one searchable:

space-time anomaly spacetime anomaly space time anomaly time-space anomaly timespace anomaly time space anomaly space-time anomalies spacetime anomalies space time anomalies time-space anomalies timespace anomalies time space anomalies

Now that that's out of the way, let's make sure we're on the same page. I have a number of mods. The relevant mods (I think) are Frackin Universe and More Planet Info. Full mod list below. As I've roamed the galaxy, I've found two special notes on planets. The first talks about a "Precursor Anomaly." I've gone onto those planets, dug about, and found special, well guarded Precursor dungeons with impressive loot etc. The second is the Space-time anomaly. The note, as given by More Planet Info, reads:

"Strange changes of a space-time detected very deep beneath the planet surface. 1 space-time anomaly detected."

There is sometimes some slight variation. "detected deep beneath" instead of "very deep," for example. So, here's my problem. I can't find anything on these planets. I teamed up with another player, and we dug through just about every inch of a world that said it had "2 space-time anomalies detected" for hours. Nothing. So, has anyone found one? What do they look like? Are they worth the effort?

As an additional note, I searched everywhere, and found only one clue. There happens to be a "space-time obelisk." After some digging around, I was able to use console commands to get one in admin mode. I couldn't figure out what it was for, and didn't mess with it too much because I still wanted to avoid spoilers, wanting to figure it out when I actually found one. Hours of digging later, still no luck. So, any help out there guys?

Any luck findings answers?

*sigh* nope. :face: Still hoping, though. If you want to get as far as I got, you can spawn in a spacetime obelisk (thoguh I doubt that that's all there is to spacetime anomalies) by using the following console commands.

/admin
and then
/spawnitem spacetimeobelisk

Still haven't tinkered with one yet.

Got that one too. Dug up the whole planet (and I mean literaly - I dug THE WHOLE PLANET) and nothing ecxept for two weird blue obelisks. Those blow up spawning some loot when attacked, by the way.
Grey_Moment Feb 26, 2018 @ 6:15am
Huh. Interesting. Are the obelisks you got the dark blue ones that I've found here and there as well, or are they the blue and white "spcetimeobelisk" that I haven't found without cheating? Also, is the loot you get from blowing them up worth digging up an entire planet for? I relly do appreciate your input, though. I was thinking of digging up a planet next myself, so I really appreciate you doing it first.

Looks like those "anomalies" are nothing else than underground precursor biomes with chests and minidungeons. Which may contain dungeon portal as well. "Deep" or "Very deep" stand for depth, it is either above core fragment level or one level higher than that.
Did few planets, was able to find those biomes easily enough. Only once I found only one biome instead of supposed two, but it was really big so I guess the two just merged together.

I appreciate the input, but there are two types of anomalies. Your description perfectly matches the "Precursor Anomaly," but on worlds with "Spacetime Anomaly," I haven't found any precursor biomes or loot. So we're talking about two different things.

I found a spacetime anomaly at
X:-448272941
Y:-863343412
The aether sea planet on Heze Fortuna
sorry if this is a dead discussion

oops i misread the discussion my apologies i though it said that you had trouble finding a planet with one

Poked a little around those planets, can tell these facts:
1) Only around black stars.
2) May or may not contain obelisks. Those may be met even on "normal" planets.
3) Underground is a whacky mix of random biomes with their ores - e.g. if there is an atropos biome, it will contain quietus ore and blood diamonds. Additionally, planet core is random - might be dense like moon one, or consist of liquid irradium or whatnot.
So, I believe now that space-time anomaly mark p.3. Otherwise such mix is met on Unknown planets, but it look quite a bit different there. Also, environment hazards are not masked for space-time anomaly planets.

Apologies for the serious necro, but from what I have found the spacetime obelisk no longer exists, attempting to find it or when spawning it in gives a PGI. This "anomaly" appears to just be a elder site of a sort. Elder Soil and Elder Stone appearing where it shouldn't, and Elder not listed as a biome in the planetary scan. I found 2 chests, each containing basic Elder loot, a Elder core, some books giving Elder recipes, and a Brain Slug. I also found odd flying creatures that spewed toxic pus when above you.

Here is a thought..

Those Door/gates that teleport to the puzzle dungeons.
On the exit portal it says "...hopefuly"

Can I assume you've run and checked these?
I all my time playing, I have never seen one of these go awry and was my first thot when reading your ..anomalies.. .
Grey_Moment Aug 4, 2018 @ 9:08pm
That could be it, Thonky. Thanks for the input. And, to BatCat, yep, I tried that. So, nope.
thonky Aug 4, 2018 @ 9:33pm
My guess is it just supplies you with items to use for crating cultist gear and the such, but what still confuses me is why it show up in the planetary scan? It seems like if something was meant to be shown on the planet scan, it just seems odd, to have such a minimal thing shown as a major part of the planet.
