How do I CREATE my own Mods?

I've looked on countless turtorials on Youtube (and they've all been reliable) but the problem is: they all have something to do with the assets folder. Whenever I look in the assets folder, i find only the songs for instruments there. Everyone else has a HUGE list of items separated into categories, and I can't seem to find it. Just 12 Days of Christmas and all the other crap songs in there. Someone plz help me.
Info about computer:
Windows 10
few months old
only about 200MB out of 1TB
HP brand.
Bought it at staples (probably not important)

You can't make mods on computers bought at staples.
Only if you buy it from Walmart - everyone knows that.

there's a few easier ways than what's shown in tthe video. By "mod" i mean modification to weapon, and different coloration. Sprite changes too. I'll put it on steam workshop. Main problem, i cant find some of the files.

Thing is, the unpacker wont even open. Just opens and closes right after.

You have to make sure the code is exactly as written - except of course for the file locations.
Those are different for everyone.
