"Join Failed! Timeout while establishing connection." error.

I'm sure this bug has been reported a million times, but I'm a bit tired of seeing nothing that works.
Issue: Tried joining a friend through Steam, but I was unable to join them. They're able to join other people just fine through Steam. Game doesn't crash, just leads to the popup below.

Things I've tried:
- Unsubscribing from all of my mods (both my friend and I tried this)
- Checking our mods (they ended up all being the same)
- Turning off firewall (didn't work. issue persisted)
- Checked mods folder for any mods (none.)
- Tried joining both ways (they host, same issue. I host, they get the issue.)

What I won't try:
- Dedicated Server (I'm playing modded, and I am NOT going through my 80+ installed steam workshop mods, removing their .pak files, renaming their .pak files, and then putting them in my mods folder. NOT happening.)

Here's the log with only the part where the error actually occurs. No other information is important, please do not bother me about mods, as with what I stated above, mods are NOT the issue.

This error has only happened with me playing with this person so far, and I've never had the issue with other friends in the past.

Please note that I REPEATEDLY tried joining my friend, and it never worked. I'm tired and going to bed. I'll check on this tomorrow.

There isn't much that can be done, looks like internet issue.
As you tried joining without mods you could test connecting both to a vanilla dedicated server to see if it works.
What could help is hoster opening port (2105 if my memory is good) on his rooter.
Another solution would be to to create a server with starbound_server (see CF forum), and maybe use third party softwere like Hamachi.

Don't entirely know how to open ports on the router, and as I said above I am not setting up a dedicated server (Starbound_Server) due to the mod adding process being more complicated than it should be. Explained above.

Ik is an old post but if still need help i will suggest to play with Hamachi if u don't know how to touch the port things.

We tried this, it failed. didn't work sadly
