Apparently, trying to do the final quest sequences in multiplayer can trigger the bug resulting in a corrupted single player save file. It usually just resets your waypoints, arc quest line, and sends you off to a random planet to start over. I've heard that if you know where your original planets are then you can warp back to them and reclaim your outposts/flags, but to regain your quest progress you'll have to resort to using console cheat commands or redo all the quests by finding another gate back to the arc.
In a worst case scenario the bug can apparently cause the loss of your character outright...

then you have to return to the gate and the lady will have the quest and will open the door.
I just tried it and it worked. Hope this will help you !
