**BUG REPORTING THREAD** Ship won't let me beam down to planets
I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem but whenever I try to beam down to a planet I only see the beam down animation & I come back to my ship, I can beam to Outpost & missions but I can't beam down to planets/moons/asteriods. It's really frustrating & I'm not sure whether it's something wrong with my game character, my computer or the game itself. :steamsad:

Passive Wildlife seems to have made this happen. I'll try to test-run other mods I used to have and see what else makes the game unusable.
same problem and i have this mod installed, thanks for pointing it out, i'll disable it for now :)

I have this problem but I don't have Passive Wildlife installed. Haven't a clue what other mods may be doing this.
Hmm, I'm not sure what could be causing problems to you Lenriak.

Maybe check for other mods which modify the behaviour of NPC's? If you don't have any, then I don't really know what to say.

It might also happen because you have two or more world-generating mods (For Examle: Fraking universe or Truespace) installed at the same time which might be conflicting?

Either way, I hope you manage to fix your game.

EDIT: So, moons and my starter planet work just fine, Outpost works too, but nothing else.

I have this problem as well
I'm having this problem too :( And I don't have any mods which modify the behaviour of NPC's or world-generating mods.

I also don't see any of my ship's crew, and I can't dismiss any crew as well. I think the problem occured when I picked up a crew member that wasn't a stock race (derp).
Help anyone? I resubbed all my mods and still no luck.
yeah, im getting the same problem!!!! i dont have "passive wildlife" subscribed to either. i dont have ANY crew members in my game (incase people are thinking the crew members are part of the problem). i spent the past 2 days building a new base underwater on an ocean planet and SUDDENLY since the 1.1.1 update every time i teleport down there the game hesitates to load and forces me back to my ship. oddly enough, if i keep trying to force the teleport it will work after 6 or so tries but only for so long, and it seems like whenever i make any hasty movements down on the planet it causes my character to be kicked to ship. any ideas as to what i could do to add insight to the situation? could i post my game log somewhere?

i tried teleporting down to a different planet in my star system, and it works fine, so it leads me to think it might have something to down with the other planet itself. the new planet that loaded fine was a typical wasteland planet, but the ocean planet with my previously built base still wont work, im beginning to think it has something to do with all the water it has to load as ive noticed my game slow when large quantities of liquid have been moved in the past
i cant teleport ANYWHERE!!!! Idk why

Good news so I deleted the passive mob mod & it's working. Yay :)

Bad new everything now wants to kill me (Just the mosnters)

Same thing happened to me with Sotck races. It may be because of the new update? I dunno. I hope they manage to fix this, Chucklefish or Modders.

-Iris, forum moderator on chucklefish forums in response to my log on an ongoing issue with players being forced to teleport back up to ship.

on my prior comment, im sure Iris is onto the right track about this as i have no problem beaming down to a world that lacks any kind of randomly generated critters or creatures (for example mechanical worlds with only robots around). this is a shame as im unable to visit any of my previous home planets now, as the creatures that have been spawned there using these mods above are suspected culprits of the issue. ive been advised that removing these particular kinds of creature enhancement mods can cause serious problems when removed from game, so ive opted to just wait till their all up to speed with version 1.1.1. that being said, im going around to all the mod authors and notifying them as to help me and the other players with the same problem, thanks in advance for any help
