IMPORTANT: Urgent Matter Regarding Medical Kit

Don't panic, but Starbound is currently in violation of the Geneva Conventions concerning the Medical Kit item, which has a red cross with a white background. The red cross with white background is a protected symbol of the International Committee of the Red Cross, and unauthorized use of it is prohibited. Additionally, there may be other uses of the red cross or other symbols (examples include the red crescent and the red diamond) protected by the ICRC in other locations in the game, and potentially in other Chucklefish games.

I would like to note that I am not affiliated with the International Committee of the Red Cross or any of its affiliates. This is not a cease-and-desist order. This is merely a friendly warning of an accidental violation of the Geneva Conventions.

The devs were contacted by the British Red Cross, telling them to remove the red cross symbol from their game, because it violated the Geneva Convention's laws about their protected symbols. Lately, the ICRC has been cracking down on video games' usage of the red cross symbol, and related symbols. In fact, there is very little media that is allowed to use the red cross symbol. I think Arma III might be, due to its importance in teaching soldiers about the Geneva Conventions. Not sure on that.
